Build Your Own FAQs
All of our Build Your Own policies and FAQs can be seen below but if you have any other queries please email us.
Getting Started
How does the Build Your Own process work?
Build Your Own gives you the opportunity to select your own setting and center stone, whether it's a lab-created diamond or natural diamond. It's a more interactive way to create something meaningful without going through the full custom design process. Because the stone is reserved specifically for the order, all Build Your Own pieces are final sale.
Can I purchase just the setting or just the diamond?
Settings are not available for individual purchase. Each setting must be purchased with a diamond from our collection.
Can I change my diamond choice or setting after placing my order?
You may request a change within 24 hours of placing your order. After that window, work on your piece begins and changes cannot be made.
What if I don't see the size of diamond I want?
Please contact us if you have a specific diamond size you would like that is not shown on our options.
Orders
Can I change the design of a setting?

Every build your own ring is custom crafted to order. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for production before your piece is ready to ship.
What if I need it sooner?
We always suggest ordering as early as possible for special occasions. if you have a firm deadline in mind, please contact us before purchasing so we can discuss the options.
Details
About our diamonds
All of our diamonds and gemstones are sourced from trusted suppliers, and we work closely with the UK’s leading specialists in certified diamonds. Every diamond we use is ethically sourced and conflict-free, obtained exclusively through approved Kimberley Process channels.
For our certified stones, we select only diamonds graded by the most respected and internationally recognised independent laboratories in the world.
Laboratory-Grown Diamonds
We also offer lab-grown diamonds, which share the exact same chemical composition and optical qualities as natural diamonds. The only difference lies in their origin — lab-grown diamonds are completely conflict-free, traceable, and environmentally responsible.
Salt & Pepper Diamonds
The suppliers we partner with for our natural salt and pepper diamonds are small-scale and independent. By working directly with these artisans and cutting out larger intermediaries, we help ensure that more of the profit reaches those closer to the source, supporting fairer and more sustainable trade.
What if i don’t know my ring size?
If you’re based in the UK, we’re delighted to offer a complimentary ring sizer, you’ll only need to cover the shipping. Simply add the sizer to your cart and complete checkout, and we’ll send it directly to your door. This allows you to measure with accuracy and be confident that your ring will fit perfectly.
While the complimentary ring sizer is a helpful guide, if you’re still unsure about your size, we highly recommend visiting a local jewellery store for a professional measurement. This is the most accurate and reliable way to ensure a perfect fit, especially for unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that cannot always be easily resized.
if you are London-based we can organise a sizing appointment, please contact us to arrange. This should take no longer than 15 mins.
Can my ring be resized?
For ring resizing, we can usually adjust up to two sizes larger or smaller. If a greater adjustment is needed, the ring may need to be remade, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. The cost of resizing is £65, with return postage charged at £20 within the UK.
Please note: these services are available for Sophia Perez Jewellery pieces only.

What is the warranty?
Our pieces are made with the utmost care and expertise. We warrant that all Sophia Perez Jewellery items purchased directly from us are free from manufacturing defects.
If you believe your item has a defect, please do not wear the piece and contact us immediately so we can arrange an inspection. This warranty is valid for one year from the date you receive your finished ring.
If, upon inspection, the damage is confirmed to be the result of a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the piece at no charge. Due to the organic nature of our materials, an exact match may not always be possible if a component or entire piece must be replaced — though we will always strive to create a result as close to the original as possible.
Our one-year Manufacturer Warranty covers any manufacturing defects, but it does not cover damage from normal wear and tear or everyday use. Please refer to the Conditions and Exclusions below for further details.
If, after inspection, the damage is determined not to be caused by a manufacturing defect, we will contact you to explain available repair options and any associated costs.
Any work carried out on your Sophia Perez piece (including resizing, repairs, or other services) by another jeweller, without prior consultation and written agreement with us, will void this warranty.
Very slight variations in craftsmanship are to be expected in handcrafted jewellery and should not be considered defects.
Please note, the stones in your Sophia Perez Jewellery piece are not covered by this warranty. Our warranty specifically covers the craftsmanship and structural integrity of the jewellery itself.
What about insurance?
As we do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones, or theft of the piece, as outlined in more detail above, we always strongly recommend taking out jewellery insurance.
We can recommend a trusted jewellery-specific insurance company if you’d like. Some of our clients choose to add their pieces to an existing insurance policy (such as home contents insurance). If you decide to do this, please ensure your jewellery is covered for wear both inside and outside of your home, as well as during international travel.
We cannot be held responsible if your chosen insurance policy does not adequately cover the full value of your piece.
We are happy to provide an insurance valuation for your Sophia Perez Jewellery piece upon request.
