The Initial Conversation

Every SPJ bespoke piece begins with a conversation. Whether in person or online, we want to understand your story: what matters to you, what kind of ring you dream of, and how it should feel when worn every day. We discuss shapes, settings, inspiration, and materials—all while keeping comfort, wearability, and emotion at the core.

Sketching the Vision

Once we understand the direction, we begin sketching. Some clients come to us with clear references, others prefer to explore options. Each design is drawn by hand and refined in-house to balance proportion, flow, and harmony. Our aim is to create something timeless, personal, and quietly bold.

Choosing the Perfect Stone

The centre stone often sets the tone. Whether it's an icy salt and pepper diamond, a vivid teal sapphire, or a champagne-toned lab-grown gem, each stone is sourced intentionally and individually by Sophia. Every gem in our collection is hand-selected for its character, quality, and potential—not just by cut or carat.

Bringing It to Life

Once the design is approved, the ring is brought to life by our trusted goldsmiths here in London. Crafted using recycled 18ct gold or platinum, every piece is handmade to order, allowing for complete control over quality and detail. We also make sure everything feels as good as it looks—built to last, to be worn, and to hold meaning.

The Final Reveal

One of our favourite moments? When the ring returns from polishing and we unwrap it for the first time. Seeing it finished, knowing the journey it’s been on—from initial ideas to final form—is a quiet, satisfying kind of magic. And then, of course, it’s time for the most important step: meeting its person.
