Socially Responsible + Ethically Sourced
We are a small micro business which takes steps to keep its environmental footprint low as possible. Due to the hand made nature of our jewellery, we are able to control every part of the process and strive to be as environmentally-conscious as we can. This ability to trace and control our materials ensures that we are an ethical choice.
From start to finish, our jewellery is made within the walls of our workshop. The design work is sketched out in our studio and then handcrafted in the adjoining workshop. We do not outsource our work to other countries where we are unable to truly understand the work conditions, without visiting in person. Outsourcing abroad also requires more air transportation, creating high levels of emissions.
DIAMONDS - ETHICAL SOURCING
All of our diamonds and gemstones are from trusted suppliers and we work with the UK's leading specialists in certified diamonds. All of our diamonds are ethically sourced and conflict-free. We source our stones from approved Kimberley Process channels.
We also offer Canadamark diamonds which assure the integrity of the supply chain of Canadian diamonds from mine to retail. If you would like us to use Canadamark diamonds in your piece of jewellery, please let us know.
For our Certified stones, we only buy diamonds certified by GIA, AGS or IGR-Global, the most respected independent diamond grading laboratories in the world.
Natural diamonds
The suppliers we use for natural salt and pepper diamonds are small-scale as we choose to cut out the larger middle-men companies, to ensure more profit goes to smaller business which are closer to the source. This also ensures less transportation to different countries.
Laboratory-grown diamonds
We offer Lab-grown diamonds, these share the same chemical makeup as natural diamonds, and are optically identical. The biggest difference between them are how they are made, which means they are completely conflict-free, have no-impact on the earth, easy to trace their origin and they have a much lower cost.
Natural diamonds
The salt and pepper diamonds we use are much less taxing on the environment than the traditional white diamonds. The 'perfect' diamond involves a few hundred tons of earth being extracted and shipped off (using a lot of fuel and labour) to be dug through to find one carat of clear diamond. The 'imperfect' diamonds we use require far less mining and in our opinion, an equally beautiful stone.
Recycled and Fairtrade Gold
The gold we use is recycled and we recycle all of our scrap metal where possible.

- We do not use mass-produced factory bought jewellery.
- We avoid using harsh chemicals often used in the jewellery-making process and we are very conscious of waste, which we keep to a minimum.
- We use local suppliers. We are lucky enough to be based in London's jewellery quarter - most materials we require is no longer than a short walk away.
- We use limited packaging and are a low plastic business. We try to reduce waste where ever we can.
